How does personalized coaching work?
Summit Speakers provides customized and personalized coaching to individuals or small groups seeking to strengthen their executive presence, leadership and management skills, communication strategies, conflict management, personal effectiveness and success, meeting management or presentation skills.
Typically, the process encompasses three-phases, with:
(Click on the phases below to learn more...)
Phase I
Personalized Coaching
Begins with an assessment of the needs/desires of the individuals.
This assessment includes a structured interview with the individual and their supervisor or sponsor for the project. An action plan is developed according to the interview and measurements of success determined.
(The average time for this phase is 4-8 hours).

Phase II
Personalized Coaching
Includes customized coaching according to the individual’s action plan.
This process is based on the one-to-one coaching. It may also include selected readings, conferences, and observations of the individual while on the job. Coaches with specific skills will be available to the individuals both in person, via telephone and email.
Involvement of an internal contact is important during this phase to provide the corporate culture input and support.
(Time allocation is unique to each individual — the norm has been biweekly meetings for 3-6 months, then monthly meetings for 3-6 months.)

Phase III
Personalized Coaching
Provides for long-range goals and targets for action and the integration of multiple skills.
During this phase of the process, long-range goals are set, analyzed and specific actions are identified. Tools for integrating the changes into long-term behavior are designed and methods of support determined. Behavior changes are long-range commitments, therefore intermittent follow up coaching is highly recommended.
(Time allocation again is unique to the individual—the norm is often quarterly meetings for 6 months.).
